The hubby & I are looking to buy a place in Waller, WA which is just about smack between Puyallup & Tacoma. The actual mailing address is Tacoma, the town name is Waller & the school district is Puyallup. The smallest lot in the immediate area is well over an acre & most of the surrounding properties are much, much larger working farms. I'm having one hell of a time trying to figure out how many chickens I can have on 4 acres & if I can have roos.
Anyone know how the rules work when your mailing address doesn't really match what your area is? The Tacoma & Puyallup chicken rules make sense in neighborhoods that are closer together but do not for property that is on the outskirts & clearly farm lands. How do I go about finding out exactly what the rules would be for this area? I've tried googling Waller, WA chicken rules, laws ordinance but can't find anything reputable.
Any ideas you could offer would be greatly appreciated! We're so set on getting a little mini farm going that if we really are limited to the Tacoma or Puyallup laws, we would pass on the property all-together.
Thanks!!
