Wandering roo

I love that you can move chickens so easily when they’re asleep. I used to have to do it for a few weeks to get my young roo to roost in the coop too. He’d always go to sleep in some apple trees near the coop. It was so fun having my kids help me find him once it got dark and then gently grabbing him and moving him to the coop. It really helps when you have a few extra pairs of hands to hold a flashlight and open and shut doors!

Well I locked him the new hens and the rest of the flock up since 2:30 major storm again. Came out this morning all wanted out like usual. The young roo and one female wont leave the barn, staying on the open part of it.
