wandering roo

This guy shows up in my yard and leaves at dusk... walking down our long drive. What breed is he and should I be watching to be sure he doesn't try and take some of my girls. I have a roo that ignores him unless he tries to breed then he takes off after him with gesto my roo makes three of this little fella but I think hes just a year old maybe.

Every evening he takes off down the road sofar my girls have stayed but if I start counting less im going down to neighbors and running her back

Now he stays in my pen while everyone else goes to bed.. last night he fallowed them in the coop after copper went in and all the girls left. He has not gone home for three days now...

Lol that happened to me. At the time I didn't have a roo at all. Now I do! He has moved in. I don't know where he came from (I had an idea I thought, then I realized that a LOT of people around me had free-range chickens, so he could have come from anywhere).

I'd just be careful of Marek's. My flock has it now because of me being dumb and buying chicks from a guy on craigslist. But any wandering chicken can introduce it to your flock, and then you have it forever.
