any suggestions where else to check or do any of you know of some for sale??

I am in Ararat, Virginia...kinda like south western area of Virginia...

I don't know what you are looking for but I still have several from this year's hatch. This is my first year to hatch so I have been having a hard time letting go of them. However, I cannot keep all of them. I have India Blues, IB Pied, a couple of Purple Hens and Whites. I am however in Southwest Missouri.

really wish you were closer as we would like more whites and peaches...

don't think I have heard of the 'purple' but sure they are pretty.

Check with the United Peafowl Association (UPA)

If the breeders near you do not have contact info on this page you need to contact some one under the UPA contact info link, maybe to get a referral.... That list does have some websites so check those out. I keep a bunch of website bookmarked in my favorites to go back and look through. There may be some one nearby or you may have to drive a ways to something. There are many color varieties, but prices go with those different colors, so you may want to do some research before you commit.

I am sure there are some out there for sale, but it is kinda a bad time of year, what with the holidays. That said, I started getting mine during the early winter, too.
