Want to hatch eggs

I want to hatch eggs this year. Is it still to cold to hatch them? And when is a good time I can start letting them sit on the eggs? I live in Maryland

I you have a hen that is broody, she'll get the job done but you can't force them to go broody.
I assume you don't plan on using an incubator.

Yes I have a handout that is a really pretty she wants to sit on the eggs. No I do not plan to use it on Using a incubator

What's a handout?

I've had hens hatch out chicks in very cold weather heading into winter. I haven't had any wanting to sit this early.
