wanted chickens

My BFF wants chickens, but she lives in area with a no livestock rule. Would that apply to chickens? I know that they are poultry.. but I want to make sure.

look up the town/county's definition of livestock.

In Jacksonville Poultry are NOT livestock, but are still prohibited mostly.

call your local ag extension and they will call zoning for you and find out.
