Wanted to share my butterfly pics

We have a Passion Flower vine and have watched about 30 caterpillars grow up on the vine, make their chrysalis and then later fly away. I put a couple of leaves with chrysalises on a plant in the screened in porch and one emerged today. Isn't he pretty?!?

We set him free after his phto session.

The cats weren't very happy about that!

The last one isn't so good. I had the setting on the best one for close-ups but apparently need something better to get pictures of very small critters.

Very beautiful indeed. I love it when people take pictures of things that most people don't think about. Like a close up of a flower blooming or of a hummingbird (must need a really good camera for that) etc. Thanks for sharing. The butterfly is lovely.

I just love watching critters grow and thrive.

I've told my DH we can never have too many pets, but he disagrees. The butterflies aren't pets, but I cultivate parts of my garden for them just as I do for us and peeps. Gives me peace on those stressful days!

Very pretty and a great picture. I took my daughter to the butterfly breeding center near our house. It was amazing all the thousands of butterflies they had. The blue ones were my favorite.

Oh I bet those blue butterflies were beautiful. I seem to have a thing for animals or nature made things/creatures that are blue or blue hued. Wonder why?
