Comfy quarters for a house chicken! Are you going to keep the paper towels as bedding?

For now, yes, but they're so expensive! I used to use felt bedding for my pet rats, with dustless paper bedding for cozy spots. I may try this with her, though chicken droppings might require something more absorbent.
We've tried shavings but she's not the cleverest and insists on eating them, and will ignore her food in favor of the wood

I'd love suggestions!

Update with bedding and the happy new resident! (Bedding is apparently very very fun to kick and has since been spread across the whole coop)
