I don't have orpingtons-buff or otherwise. This hen has red earlobes, as someone said before, so she VERY likely lays brown or even light cream colored eggs. I do know for a fact that your other two hens are brown leghorns which lay a white egg. If your spouse says the egg is a tan/off white color, then maybe it is. But you could test it by putting the questionable egg next to eggs laid by the Leghorns on a piece of white copy paper and compare them.
