Was there a buzzard in the hen house??

OK I got this silkie as a new hatchling from an Amish farm in PA (I got two, one died within 48 hours). Now this is what 'it' has grown into (hatched march 2013). My boyfriend and his friends call Uncle Si a buzzard. I must say she/he does not look like any other Silkie I have seen. She does not sound like any other chicken I have heard either--almost sounds like a goose???

So, looks like the consensus is it IS a Silkie...and it is a HE not a SHE??
