I hatched out 3 GLW chicks. The boy had GLW lacing but what I am assuming are the 2 girls, look nothing like GLW and have no lacing. I contacted the breed and she says GLW can look like this and when they molt they will have lacing. I find this very hard to beleive and would love to hear your thought. Boy at hatch on the left, other 2 girls I think.

And now 5 weeks later what they look like: The girls have white spots???

Other girl:

The boy has some Golden lacing you can see. He is bare shoulders still.

Adorable chicks!
However, they do look a little strange for GLWs. Laced birds take a while to grow out their real colors, but is there a chance that they are a mix of Golden-laced and Silver-laced? Just a thought.

Best of luck!

I've seen white in Golden laced chicks of this age before, but I agree that it's a bit much. They could just be poorly bred, or they could be mixed with something else, or they could just be displaying really strange juvenile feathering that they will grow out of. Hard to tell at this age.
