Hi all,

I know this question was probably asked somewhere before, but I couldn't find it during my search (they all talked about washing eggs for storage and selling). So, would it be okay to wash eggs before putting them into the incubator? I'm curious because I have some dirty eggs that can't be scrub off.

Thanks

Wel I run mine under warm water and rub with my hand to get everything off... Then dry it with a towel and store it for incubating later... You could even use your green dish sponge that has the little ruffer side for scawlering but I would only use it if you have to and much rather just use warm water and my fingers to clean each egg because the more you rub off of that protective coating you ca't see the more likely bacteria can get in... My eggs are all doing fine in the bator after using the hand washing in warm water metheod... Good luck...
