I have a chick in the incubator that had a long, tough hatch. She was a bit sticky in places. She has gathered some eggshells on her bum/navel area. My concern is that this could stop her from being able to poo. How do I get off the sticky stuff and clear her passage.

I don't really want to take her out of the incubator yet. She has been in there since early this afternoon.

Dried yolk matter feels like epoxy! How do you get it off?

Anyone with experience in this?

Not sure if it would work but when my chicks get pasty butt I always use a warm damp rag and if that doesn't work I let their bum soak in the warm water and try to gently wipe.
