Brand spankin' new owner of four chicks - 2 Ameraucanas (although I'm suspecting EE...got them from a Feed Store in Alamo who buys from Ideal), a Black Australorp, and what I'm guessing is a Plymouth Rock (was told it was an Australorp from the guy at the feed store, but Australorps don't have a white spot on its head, right?)
Almost done building my own coop, hoping that my chicks won't be noisy ladies when they move out of the house, and simply loving how the kids are loving their new pets. Currently wondering whether the name my 4 yr old son gave to one of the chickens is a bad omen for the chick or not - "Trample"! Then again, also wondering what the husband is letting our 3 year old daughter watch on TV - she named one "Trekkie"! d'oh.
