Water barrel question

I am having a hard time finding a 55 gallon water barrel with removable lid. I do know where i can get one that had soap in it. Not to ask a stupid question but with a good rinse maybe even power wash it out can i use it for my watering system in my coop?

Sure I don't see why not.
We use used barrels all the time.
Just make sure you clean it well before you use it.

Yes the guy said it just had soap in it nothing toxic. But wasnt sure so i wanted to ask.
