I noticed something drip from my hen’s vent this morning. Upon closer inspection, I found her abdomen seemed pretty tight. Last night I noticed she had a tad of a dirty bottom. That is now cleaned, and I do not feel an egg shape. I’ve soaked her today, put a little vegetable oil around vent, but nothing happened. Her comb is red, I’ve seen her eating oyster shell today and pecking around a little. She drank a lot of water. She doesn’t seem to be walking funny. She is 3 years old. I know I’m in a time crunch. I just don’t know what route to pursue. How do I know for sure it’s water belly before I poke her? I’m attaching a few pictures in case that helps.
