Does anyone know anything about water candling and how soon it can be done? My eggs are 12 days along but being new to this incubation thing I'm not sure what I'm looking at and this process just seems easier to see if the eggs are alive and doing well. But I don't want to drown them either. Any thoughts?

Do you mean a float test- where you float them in water and look for movement? If so, that's done at the end of hatch, typically when you aren't sure if a chick is alive inside (since they fill the egg and its hard to tell what's going on in there at the end). At around 12 days you should be seeing a pretty substantial dark mass and veins near the air cell with a flashlight. Its hard to know what's right when you're just getting in to incubating, but this thread may help you out!

Good luck!

Thank you for the info will look again and keep hoping. Or maybe I sold just leave them alone and see what happens. I don't want to damage them by messing with them to much.
Thanks again
