and thinking that's not good....it doesn't fill the entire
space but guessing the eggs are bad ??

got them straight from the nest and for whatever reason
I candled them...why?... not sure....but glad I did since
I saw this 'watery' stuff in there air sacs...

so...anyone?? are the eggs bad ? or can I still incubate ??

You candled them just after taking them off the nest? If so, the air pocket won't be very visible. You should wait until about day 7 to check for development. I candle on days 7,14, and 18.

If there has been some mishandling it is possible for the inner membrane to tear and the air sac to become filled with the "watery" fluid- this does end the possibility of hatching. However, CarolinaHen is correct the air sac may not be clearly visible until the 7 or even 14 day candling. My advice is to go ahead and incubate - if you dont see that definite darkening of the forming embryo when expected then toss them. Good luck

Thanks....they did come straight from the nest but I had not collected in 2 days...smelled something different in coop so guess that's why I candled....I'm going to incubate and keep an eye on them then..thanks!
