water soaking food?

I was reading one of the headlining carousal articles a few weeks back where the author was talking a bit about how to stretch your feed to make it last longer, and I think there was also a link to get more information on soaking the feed??? Anyone have any thoughts, info, or can direct me back to the article.

You might want to do a search on fermented feed. I don't see how it would make the feed go further, though, unless it is by reducing waste.
