I am gathering my equipment and supplies and will soon start to build my own incubator. I have heard tell about these water wigglers/ water weasels, I would like to learn more about them and maybe see a pic or two. Where to get them and exactly where to place and operate them. I do understand the purpose for them, I just have never seen them in use.

Thanks for your help.

I got my water wigglers at Wal-Mart.

My bator has an auto turner so I set it along the outside edge of it.

It's on the right-hand side in this pic (the blue thing next to the olive green egg):

There's a much better pic of a wiggler and how it's set up in Miss Prissy's Chic Chick Bator post. Scroll down to post # 64 and you'll see her wiggler in pix #5 and 7:

Hope this helps!

You should have the wiggler at the same height as the eggs. In the turner is probably best, if you have the room!

You can also make one out of a baggie and a toilet paper roll. Just fill the baggie with water about halfway, fold it over and put it inside the TP roll. Then just put the thermo probe inside the baggie and voila!! Instant wiggler
