No they dont need food or water in the coop at night to lay
Young ducklings need constant water but not adult

What i feed laying ducks is a layer pellet and give a dish of crushed oyster shell for calcium

My ducks are without food and water overnight for about 11 hours in the winter. They do alright and things stay nice and dry. If it were really hot in the summer, I might occasionally give them water overnight.
