I do not have any birds. My Twp doesn’t allow byc unless zoned for it. I only have a lot, no acreage. A few years ago I saw a post from a Waterford resident that went to our twp to try to get it approved. I responded to the post but didn’t get any feedback after. So, I am ready to investigate, find loopholes and push forward to try to get approval. Wondering if anyone else here from Waterford, MI has any information

Hi there! I'm in Waterford curious if you ever made headway with this? I was reviewing the muni code and don't see anything about fowl or poultry, just "small livestock" which I don't believe includes birds. I have many neighbors who have chickens but I don't know them well enough to ask them if they got exceptions for the city or just have illegal city chickens. Did you ever chat with any city council members or find additional info? Thanks!

Hi, the person that started this thread has not been here since May 2023. I suggest you call the city and find out if a flock is ok. Good luck!
