watering ducks and chickens in a coop during the winter

I am trying to plan on how to water our ducks and chickens inside the coop in the winter. I like the horizontal watering nipples for the chickens, but I don't think that the ducks will use it. The ducks are so messy, I don't want a big bowl for them to splash in. Any suggestions?

Ducks need to dunk their heads in the water. I'd suggest a heated bucket or heated dog bowl. Make a lid for it with a hole so that one duck at a time can get its head in the container. Keep the container out in the run rather than in the coop.
