if its true that a ducks rubs her waterproofing oils on her ducklings then theoretically if a duck were to hatch and raise chicks would they not receive the oils and be able to eventually swim? i've seen chickens swim very well but the feathers get waterlogged
i wish. But I don't think t works that way. Ducklings and ducks naturally produce their oils, but when the mama is with the babies she stimulates it, I think. Because chicks don't produce those oils, I don't think a duck could give it to them. But that would rock!
