HI!
I don't think this is a emergency but my girls have runny and watery poop. I don't know if this is bad but it is really gross. I have two coops one with old girls and the other with new girls. Both coops have the watery poop. Is it because it is hot and humid? Do I need to get electrolytes? Any advice would be great!
Thanks

I disagree. It is beneficial to use vitamins-electrolytes and probiotics 3 times a week in waterers anytime. Weather extremes, moulting, stress of any kind is assisted by keeping the immune system strong. Mountain Peeps is right about hot weather causing diarrhea. Birds often drink more than they eat. Abby Travers, keep an eye on their activity levels, combs should be red and healthy looking, and they should have good appetites. If they hunch up, continue with diarrhea, or combs become pale, you might consider deworming or using Corid (Amprolium) in waterers.

Okay thank you both very much for the information. I have 31 hens in one coop but I let them free range everyday and have multiple waterers. I have only been getting about 15-18 eggs a day. Is this normal for summer? They are all just over a year old. There combs are very red and vibrant and there poop is getting a little better meaning firmer looking. it is still a little runny though. Thanks!!
