Morning. How old are the chicks, what are they being fed, are they strictly in a brooder? Pictures of concerning poop. This is what everyone will want to know. I can tell you first hand chicks, through adults poop will change regularly.
Do you supply any probiotic mix in their water? I give all my chicks a product called hydro-hen from the day I get them. Even with it my birds still have differences in poop, but it does help with helping keep them normal. Import thing is to monitor eating/drinking, blood in poop, acting abnormal. We will wait for the pictures too. Thanks. They are 4 weeks old today. No pics of poop till im done my shift at work. They are strictly brooder kept right now. Diet is Rolling Acres Chick Starter Feed. Water is changed 4 times a day.
This is the first time ive seen this kind of poop....im worried now.Morning. How old are the chicks, what are they being fed, are they strictly in a brooder? Pictures of concerning poop. The dark color in the first picture my older chickens have done, but the substance with it is odd. Mine are usually all that muddy look, nothing else. The second picture is a little odd as well. I was hoping others would chime in too, as I am not a expert. I would probably look into a probiotic to add into their diet, keep them strickly on chick food. Any pasty butt going on by chance, everyone drinking/eating ok?This is the first time ive seen this kind of poop....im worried now.
Ive changed brooder bedding once a day and full clean out weekly.
Everyone eats and drinks well. No pasty butts and I check their vents daily. Theyre only on Rolling Acres Chick Starter Feed. The dark color in the first picture my older chickens have done, but the substance with it is odd. Mine are usually all that muddy look, nothing else.
