My 7 month old Brahma Hen died a couple days ago. She stopped eating and drinking after developing a strange cough. After a day or two of having a watery white stool with bright green streaks, she also became weak and reluctant to move. I gave her a generic sulfadimethoxine from Farm and Fleet in the assumption that it was a bacterial problem, but I was too late. I have the rest of my flock (One Brahma rooster and the three remaining Brahma hens) and my one-legged ISA-Brown hen, Uno, and they are being maintained on the Sulfa and Vi-tal electrolyte packs in case this was contagious. Any ideas? This is my first flock and I'm a little upset! I really don't want Uno getting ill, and she seems to be developing the same cough!!!!
