Wanted to pick all the wonderful chicken brains out there. I’ve ended up with two Roos who no longer play nicely - one is submissive *most* of the time, but the other kind of has it in for him so I’ve had to separate by dividing the run. Until now the more aggressive guy was by himself (he could always see everyone else) except for supervised flock time all together, but I’d like to divide the run in half and let him have more time with the ladies now that he’s calming down and treating them better. That said, I’d really like the smaller girls to be able to go back and forth freely, and was wondering if a Chunnel would let them through but not the boys? The boys are brahma / Brahma Wyandotte mix so large, and they have never entered the coops for example. Or maybe it’s the ladder combined with small doorway that deters them? They never go at each other through the bars or anything. The girls are far smarter than the boys so that would also work to my advantage
. They do have some free range time, and they don’t fight much then - but it’s always supervised as we have hawks and a bald eagle in the area, and I don’t want to risk it. Any ideas much appreciated!
