Two of the best attributes I've read about for runs are aprons to deter diggers and covering the run with wire mesh to exclude hawks.(the smaller the mesh the smaller birds that will be excluded if you have feed stealing chirpers)We are working on our coop this weekend. Overlap and a few wire ties...or 'stitch' it with a long piece of wire in and out of holes....depends on where the seam is.I do have a lab, but our underground fence isn't working right at the moment. (go figure)
I thought about burying hardware cloth, but I would end up with a seam. Suggestions for dealing with a seam?
