Hi All
frow.gif

I have a question about worming chickens.

I have 16 BO's they are now 7 wks old.

When is it best to worm them? when they show signs, or as a prevention?

Also, how many days do you put the wormer in their water.

Thanks

I am not sure if you would use as a preventative or not. I am sure someone will pipe in with the correct answer. Dawg from Ga. is really well versed on worming. I learned alot from him when I had round worms in my birds. I can tell you if you do have worms, Wazine is not the only thing to do. It only paralyzes them and then they get passed out in the poop. It will not kill larvea. 10- 14 days after the wazine use safeguard, or eqiuvelant to follow up and kill the larvea. You will have to not eat any eggs during the 2 processes for 2 weeks.

Hi Again,

Can anyone give me some instructions on how and when to use
Wazine for worming?

At what ages do you use it? and how many days to you administer in
the water for worming?

Do you use it as prevention?

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure that I am
doing everything right.

Thanks

Ok, thanks for your reply.

So wazine is just a one dose treatment every so many weeks.

The person at the store did not tell me this not does the bottle
specify the amount of time dosage should be administered. I am glad
that I asked.

Can anyone tell me how often they worm their chickens??

Thanks again....
