We got three free Texas A & M quail today, HELP!

I have them in a cage with a light, they are babies...

I have chickens and never thought to raise quail. Does anyone know about them...and what about their eggs, what to do with their eggs when their older??? Are they like chickens, can hens lay them without a male?

Yeah, they can lay eggs without having a roo. The info on monarc23's coturnix education thread would apply to them too. They are cute! I loved my A&M's, till they both started crowing!

It takes 50 eggs to a quart for pickling. I use a little mustard in with sweet pickle brine; tastes like a deviled egg without mayo. Eggs are very nice on salad. Only tried frying them once;was not fun, or maybe the skillet was too big! They lay fine without a male.
