Well I'm jealous,, I'm hoping the 4 eggs my female Runner duck "donated" continue to grow. They were collected on Jan 3,4,5,6, and showed veins and little blobs on the 10th and on the 15th 3 were too dark to see much except a little squirming near the air pocket, the 4th had more visible movement. Good luck!

Hey, how did you get ahead of me again? Very cool!

I'm afraid that it will snow like crazy on the 20th day, and I'll have to work 12 hours straight. Then I'll come home to a bator full of dried off fuzzy butts, and I will have missed the whole show.

Lone...dont worry you are gonna have a great hatch rating this time! For me it was kind of sad because out of 48 eggs I only had 12 to make it to this stage.
I am just happy that they even made it. I really screwed up with this hatch....but maybe the chicks will forgive me?

Anyway the update is there is still the one pip and the baby has not done anything else now.

I hope it gets a move on. LOL I do hear lots of peeping, but of course it is only day 20.

BTW thank you writer! I appriciate all the good hatching vibes and good luck to everyone else!
YEA!

oh yea does anyone know from the baby pips how long it can survive with just the pip and the baby doing nothing else??? I hope mine is ok it has had the pip now for 7hrs!

They can take up to a day or two to complete hatch, so 7 hours is not unusual. Hang in there..you should have chickies by morning. Come on babies..
