Today was day 31 and we were nervous because there was no sign of fur pulling yesterday, but this morning there was a nice pile of moving fur in her box! I haven't looked too closely yet. This is her first kindle so I don't want to scare her.

Mama and nest! Somebody is moving in there!

Mama is a Flemish Giant/Dutch mix. Our buck is a New Zealand mix.
That's funny...she looks like a rex. If you want, you can gently move aside the fur to see what's in the basket. I usually don't touch unless I need to pull out a dead one at this stage though, but it's up to you, of course. My mama is pretty protective (

), so I try not to bug her any more than I have to. Now that my babies are about two weeks old, I'll start bringing them in to play with them. Until now, I've just handled them each daily once they started getting their fur in (about three days).

She kind of does in this picture, must be a trick of the light. I went out and pushed some of the fur aside - she pulled a LOT! I was hard to see in all that fur, but I definitely saw cute little ones! They looked broken black like their father (at least the ones I saw!).
