when doing rounds on the farm tonight i notice that our lab was lose again and running around the run bugging the chickens once again, i first saw it on ginny when i got in to the run and then on tom.
i'm not really sure if the pic is going to show the wound but is it ok to spray wound-kote on it?, we think our female lab was trying to pull them through the fence

I think wound-kote would be fine. We use it on just about everything.

In the hot weather, just keep an eye on it for maggots. Even a surface wound can get nasty.

Can you run some smaller gauge wire around the bottom of your pen so the Lab cant do it again?
 
Give the wound a good flush with saline solution and spray with blue kote. She should heal up fine. As the other poster said, watch for flies this time of year. Maggots are a pain to get off once they settle in.
