Hey I have a chick she's about 6 weeks old and just finished a round of Albon 5% oral suspension for coccidia. Now she seems listless and off balance. Her brothers and sisters are fine. I suspect a vitamin deficiency, though an online vet suggested possible overdose. Could I get some advice on what I can give her as a stand in for poultry vitamins until my order arrives on Monday, my local feed stores were out of poultry vitamins.

I'm hoping it's not failure to thrive.

What do her poops look like? Can you mix some sugar 1 tsp per cup of water with a tiny pinch of salt, and mix it well, then offer some in a small lid or cup? Do you have any human B complex or other vitamins? You could crush and dissolve 1/2 tablet in the cup of water for the first day. Human baby vitamins such as Polyvisol without iron are also good to use 3 drops per day. How was the Albon mixed? I know it is sulfadimethoxine used for coccidiosis, but am not certain about dosage.
