This chick hatched a few days ago without fully absorbing its yolk sac, so I wrapped it in a paper towel in the bator and hoped it would eventually absorb it. Next day the sac just dried up and it had a little dried balloon thing stuck to its navel. I cut it off, it bled a bit, and now it's just a little scab. I don't know if this is the cause, but the chick is really weak and has some problems. It's legs look shriveled, and when I give it food it pecks away from it as though it can't aim right. I've mixed hard-boiled egg yolk and water and hand-fed it that every 2-3 hours, and in the meantime it's sleeping in the bator wrapped in a paper towel. It's getting weaker. My mom thinks it's not getting enough food, and I try to feed it as much as I can, but it doesn't seem to care much for it. I need some advice!

Gosh I don't know what you can do besides that - We had a Jersey Giant hatch 2 weeks ago with its yolk sac still attached - Sadly though the other chicks pecked it and burst it open before we could do anything. . . It got shrivelled legs, extreme weakness, but eventually we pulled it out, I gave it some water periodically, but it couldn't open its eyes. Out of an odd miracle, the chick survived its first night, then the next day I gave it water with nutrients dissolved into it - After hours, the chick finally opened its eyes. . . To this day it is still alive, but still rather tiny compared to everyone else.

If you can't get it food and water on a good rate, I'm afraid there is not much you can do. If you can, - I'd wait it out and keep trying, see if it ever revives.

So sorry to hear of your chick problem though!
