I have a four year old Barred Plymouth Rock. I noticed about a month ago, she had a bloated stomach. We thought she was egg bound, and went through all the protocols. It didn't really help, so we figured she would probably die. (We had another chicken, and the farm vet said it was 50/50, and she died last fall) I don't think shes egg bound or EYP because her chicken poo looks pretty normal. I thought it may be "water belly" but her stomach is no longer bloated. She doesn't have mites/lice or anything like that.

She is not eating very much, and honestly, I don't know how she is still alive without eating or drinking very much. She is pretty thin, and she doesn't move around. She only just lays in the set-up we made for her away from the other chickens. She is alert, and doesn't seem to be in any pain. She is not laying eggs (she's 4, so I don't know how long its been since she last laid one)

Does anyone have any ideas? We have tried chicken electrolytes, and all different kinds of fresh food. In the beginning she was around the other chickens, and she seems to be the only one afflicted.

Thanks!

PS- Culling is NOT an option for us.
