Weasels and relatives

We are fortunate to live in an area where we have several different types of weasels and relatives.
Some are quite small.
What is the smallest size hole a small weasel like an ermine can get through?

I'm not sure. I think weasels can fit through a whole 1 inch or bigger.

A careful reading of Happy's link suggests that any hole larger than half an inch may be to large a hole.

Truth in posting:
I have weasels here but not stoats or ermines. If you try to exclude one predator species and you don't consider all the other things that eat chicks, chickens and eggs, your setting your chickens up to be brunch.

Yeah .... will be covering up all holes other than the 1/2" hardware cloth .... and I even decided to cover up most of that!
I have been trying to consider every predator we have in our area .... which is many.
