Weatherproofish outdoor feeder

I have a small coop with no room to hang an open-top feeder. I have also constructed one of those j-shaped pvc feeders which also didnt work and im tired of making things. I live in the city with a high fence so im not too worried about other animals coming and eating. I just need to keep the water out.

Have any of you had any luck with outdoor feeders?

I see ideas on how to "rainproof" the pvc feeders but the images are from pinterest so I can't post them here. google "rainproof pvc chicken feeders"
