This is the first time I have ever had to deal with this problem or issue. I have been trying to research on here about how to fix a prolapse but mainly seeing it happen in older chicks and hens. In the past few months, when I had a baby chick with pasty butt, it didn't make it long after cleaning it for some reason. 2 days ago I noticed one of my wk old EE chicks had poop stuck to the feathers above and below its vent. It could still poo but it was like it was just stick to whatever was there and dry. I got it cleaned up, careful not to pull anything and then put some oil on it to keep it moist. They all seemed good last night. Well today, my daughter goes to check on them and that one seems to have prolapsed. There is no poop on its bottom, just very swollen and red. Could it possibly be constipated? I'm not sure what to do? I have read to put honey on it and push it back in. I do have it separated from others. I haven't noticed how its appetite is or if its pooping now. I seen the problem and panicked, running to the computer.

I really don't want to lose it. It is the smallest chick but was eating fine. Please Help!

How can I keep it from pecking it's own bottom? I have it separated from the others and it is reaching back and pecking at itself.
