Hello, I ordered 10 chicks from Ideal last week they are doing fine but the Black Australorps all have white feathers coming in on thier wings, is this normal? I thought they were an all black bird from the pictures.. thanks for any help.

Yes, Australorps under wing feathers are always white.

BTW they look very well fed.

ETA: The white won't show at all when they are fully feathered out and they are the sweetest chickens I have ever owned. Enjoy!

Australorps are great! Even my roos are sweet gentle birds. I remember when I hatched my first batch I was worried because we had a little one with loads of yellow. It of course turned to that beautiful blue/green black. Now I love their baby variety as they very quickly start to look the same. The white feathering is normal.
