Week old has escaped!

The new hatchling has left the coop and run into the scrub oak. Mama bird is keeping a watchful eye but we have 3 cats.I don't want to sit here until dusk, what should I do?

Get the mother to make her call by exciting her some how, perhaps by cheeping. Carry her around or play a recording of her call and it should come running.
