Okay, so my father brought home some pig feed and insisted that I could feed it to my chickens. The guy at the feed store said he feeds it to his chickens, but did Dad ask if the guy gives two bits about his birds? Of course not! Cheaper the better, right?
They are now asking why I am sticking my nose up at it. Please, am I being reasonable? I'm not above giving my chickens pig feed, in fact I have read that it can be very good for them. But the fact that the feed has weevils means that it is old. The amount of them means that they have eaten most of the nutrients out. Also, bugs poop. Everywhere.
Is there any chance that I can still give it to them? Will they eat it?
