How do you weigh your chickens? I'm mostly curious about my Black Jersey Giant cockerel. He's stands at least a head taller than all my other chickens and is very broad. When he runs across the yard and I hear the thump, thump, thump and assume it's on of my dogs running around, lol. (My dogs are 35 and 15 lbs)

I tried getting him to stand on a kitchen scale and bathroom scale, but you can probably imagine how that went, lol.

I place my chooks in one of those cloth grocery bags and use a luggage scale to weigh my gang.

This is Sir Shirley who weighed in at about 8.26lbs, I should have used a larger bag when I weighed him!

Not sure what your kitchen scale looks like but weigh yourself holding him on the bathroom scale and weigh yourself immediately while dressed the same without holding him. Subtract to find the difference. That way you don't have to buy anything.

Not as much fun though 😉😉😉
