weight gain

I got three RIR hens that are 6 months old. But they are light and won't put on weight any ideas?

Are you sure they need to gain weight or maybe they still need to mature. If they do in fact need to gain weight, sunflower seeds or unsalted nuts are high in calories which you could offer as a treat or mix in their feed.
