Good Afternoon!
Ok, I have this little cochin cockerel that I need an opinion on.
He had a piece of what looked like hay or something sticking out of his beak. It was fairly long. I tried to pull it out and ended up breaking it off. It was an actual growth of the beak.
I included a picture of where I broke it off. Is this some type of defect I should worry about him passing or maybe just a fluke or something? I've never seen anything like it before.
It is right on the top of the beak, dead center. Right between the nostrils. You can see the little dot still sticking up.
Also, could some of you more experienced breeders tell me how many points he has on his comb?? I am still trying to figure out the comb/point counting thing.
Thanks!
