Weird behavior

So today my white leghorn (she's the smallest of the group) started pacing and getting very loud. She would pace up and down the coop fence and whine loudly. She would then go into the nesting box and scratch around stay there for a few minutes and jump out. Nothing there. Then go eat and repeat. What the heck is she doing?? Any advice? Thanks

My EE did that when she was about to lay her first couple eggs.

Sounds like her hormones are gearing up for eggs!!!!!!!!!

Yay!! Indeed it was...it took about 1 hour and a half but she laid a perfect beautiful egg. Now all three are laying. So egg-citing
