I bought 10 chicks a few months ago and they all seemed fine, however a couple of weeks ago one started exhibiting odd behavior when she ate or drank she would place her head on her back between her wings and jiggle her head from left to right like she was having trouble swallowing. I massaged her throat and that seemed to help. But now she spends almost all of her time like this and massaging doesn't seem to help anymore. She eats and drinks, walks around and will fallow me around the yard, stopping to jiggle her head when I stop to do something. She shows no indications of illness and has a good appetite and drinks often. Her stools are normal and her feathers are in good order. She cleans herself and sings almost constantly. One of the other chicks has recently started harassing the rest seem to ignore her to the point of leaving her without company and in the open. So I separated her and brought her in the house, she scratches when outside but does not in her box, and I notice she is sleeping with her head on her back, but it does not seem stuck ( like lockjaw) she will move it toward sounds and reacts to her name but the behavior is weird anybody know what is going on? I really am at a loss. Any advice or help would be appreciated this is only the second set of chicks I've bought and I am still very new to these animals. Thanks everso
