About a month ago, we had our 16 year old cat put down due to skin cancer. She was my first

pet I ever had. And though he was annoyed by the fact she would not play rough with him,

She was like a mom to our younger cat.Well, now my younger male kitty is acting strange. I don't know

if he feels alone or what. The sun-room is like 'the cat room'. They eat & sleep out there. Every day when

Todd comes in to eat,

he has to have somone out there with him. He wont eat with-out one of us out there

with him. Right now, as I type, hes at the door sreaming. He won't come inside the house. He wont

go outside. When walk out there he leads us to the food table so he can eat. I feel bad for him.

Does he feel alone? Whats going on with him? I can't get him a buddy. I guess I'll be moving his food bowls

in the house..

Thanks

Yep - he's missing his buddy, to put it into human-speak. He's probably a bit confused/unhappy at the change of the other cat not being there. He may be calling for her, or he may just be complaining about the change. Why can't you get another friend for him, since you had two earlier??? Just give him a bunch of attention, and I bet he'll settle down soon.
And sorry about the loss of your kitty.

Cats are super sensitive to change. Some do what yours is doing if you get new carpet or a new roommate moves in. He may continue this behavior for some time in addition to some others. It is very common for them to inappropriately urinate/defecate around the house and not eat for a while. Hopefully with time he will return to normal. If you can't stand it any longer, he is loosing weight, etc., there are antidepressant drugs you can get from your vet

Yep he misses her just like you do. Did they eat together it just might be something that he needs right now I hope he settles down soon. I know that when we had to put one of our dogs down the others would look for her and would walk around crying trying to find her it took about 2 weeks for them to settle back down.

Thanks, and yes they eat together, & slept together. She was

always asleep on our glider when he was out there eating.

Parents say I can't have no more cats until I move out,

and get my own house. hehe, cats are experts at getting into some trouble lol.
