I recently rescued a male Cayuga, he's a little under a year old. I do live where it snows so I have a heated shop that he's staying in but he seems to like exploring in the snow. I noticed he has developed almost a hazy white color around the perimeter of his bill. (He has a black bill.) I'm just concerned about what could be causing this. If anyone has any advice please let me know!

Could you post a picture of his bill?

This was the only photo I could get. I had to screen shot a video. He's still a little uncertain of me.

The overall coloration appears to be normal; if you're seeing a white/flaky kind of haze that is likley keratin flaking, which is common in the dry winter weather.

Okay, thank you. Is there anything I need to do or should do for this?
